Universal Children’s Day
On Universal Children’s Day, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and Chairperson of the Committee on the Rights of the Child Maja Gojkovic said that the Serbian Assembly is committed to creating the legal prerequisites necessary to promote children’s rights by applying European standards and implementing the obligations the country had assumed by ratifying the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

National Assembly Speaker Meets with President of Italian Senate
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic met today with Pietro Grasso, President of the Italian Senate, currently in official visit to Serbia. On the occasion Grasso said that his country is a firm supporter of Serbia’s European path and that its EU accession is one of Italy’s priorities.

National Assembly Speaker Talks to Slovenian Officials
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic visited Slovenia and met with Slovenian Parliament Speaker Milan Brglez, Slovenian National Council President Mitja Bervar and the President of Slovenia Borut Pahor. The officials all agreed that the relations between the two countries are excellent and quite intensive, and that Slovenia supports Serbia’s European integration.

Third National Conference of Women’s Parliamentary Network
The Third National Conference of the Women’s Parliamentary Network, held at the National Assembly House, with the topic gender responsive budgeting, was attended by women MPs and councilwomen from 35 Serbian municipalities.
