General bilateral cooperation

Parliamentary visits to our country are organized in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia as a part of direct, general bilateral cooperation at all levels, as well as parliamentary contacts (individual talks with foreign parliamentary delegations or parliamentarians). On the other hand, there are bilateral visits of MPs of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia (primarily the Speaker, delegations of working bodies, and other delegations) to other countries. 
The National Assembly is a place where international contacts are made and talks organized with foreign state dignitaries and individuals, representatives of international organizations and other international forums who visit our country, as well as with representatives of the diplomatic corps.

Latest activities:

  • Boshab Mabuj-Ma-Bilenge, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Congo visited the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on April 5-6, 2011. He spoke separately with Prof. Dr Slavica Đukić-Dejanović, Speaker of the National Assembly; Prof. Dr Dragoljub Mićunović, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee; and representatives of the National Assembly parliamentary groups.
  • Vladimir Lytvyn, Speaker of Supreme Rada of Ukraine, visited Serbia on April 4-5, 2011 and spoke in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia with Prof. Dr Slavica Đukić-Dejanović, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia; with Laszlo Varga, Chairman of the European Integrations Committee and the members; as well as with members of the Foreign Affairs Committee.  
  • Delegation of the Committee for Economy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia headed by Matjaž Han, Chairman of the Committee, visited Serbia on March 16-18 and spoke in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia with the Chairman Dejan Nikolić and members of the Committee on Trade and Tourism on March 17, 2011.
  • Victor Bostinaru and Adrian Severin, MPs of the European Parliament, spoke in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia with Prof. Dr Dragoljub Mićunović, Chairman of the National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee on March 14, 2011.
  • Delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia headed by Miro Petek, President of the MP Commission for Slovenians in the World, visited Serbia on March 8-10 and spoke in the on separate occasions at the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia with Prof. Dr Slavica Đukić-Dejanović, Speaker of the National Assembly; Nikola Novaković, President of the National Assembly Parliamentary Friendship Group with Slovenia as well as with its members; and with members of the Committee on Relations with Serbs Living Outside Serbia on March 10, 2011.  
  • Janos Lazar, President of the Hungarian Parliament’s FIDESZ Caucus, spoke at the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia with Balint Pasztor, Head of the Minorities’ Parliamentary Group on March 9, 2011.   
  • Delegation of MPs and members of the EU Committee of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany spoke at the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia with Boško Ristić, Chairman of the Justice and Administration Committee of the National Assembly on February 2, 2011.
  • Delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska headed by the Speaker Igor Radojčić spoke at the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia with Prof. Dr Slavica Đukić-Dejanović, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on February 1, 2011.
  • Prof. Dr Slavica Đukić-Dejanović, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia made an official visit to the European Parliament and met with the Delegation of the European Parliament for Cooperation with Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, and Kosovo on January 26, 2011 in Brussels.
