Western Balkan Legislative Strengthening Initiative Regional Workshop that was held in Slovakia on 25 and 26 February brought together members of parliaments, parliamentary staff and civic society representatives from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo*, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Ukraine to draw on experiences from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Latvia in legislative transparency and civic engagement.

The international conference of the European Movement in Serbia - Civil Society and Beyond: A Joint Dialogue on the European Path was opened today at the National Assembly House in the presence of more than 100 representatives of civil society and public authorities from the Western Balkan countries and Turkey, and more than 30 representatives of European institutions and key actors of EU civil society.

National Assembly Speaker in Official Visit to Bulgaria
On the second day of her official visit to Bulgaria, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic met with Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov. The officials stressed that the two countries are eager to continue the development of good-neighbourly relations and that Bulgaria fully supports Serbia’s EU integration efforts.
