Popular Assemblies of the First and Second Serbian Uprising (1804-1815)


During the First Serbian Uprising, the assembly of all popular chiefs in Serbia set up the first ministries and on 11 January 1811 the most educated Serb of the time, rector of the Grand School in Belgrade, Dositej Obradović became the minister of education (photo: Dositej Obradović opens the Grand School, by Borivoje K.
