    7th session of the Committee on Science and Technological Development

    The Committee on Science and Technological Development of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia held a session on 29 November 2005 to discuss in principle the Innovations Bill, the Science and Research Bill, and the Serbian Encyclopaedia Bill.

    43rd session of the Finance Committee

    At its session held on 28 November 2005, the Finance Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed amendments submitted to the Bill on the Budget of the Republic of Serbia for 2006, with its accompanying Memorandum on the Budget and Economic and Fiscal Policy for 2006, projections for 2007 and 2008, and proposals of decisions granting consent to financial plans for 2006 of the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Employees, the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Farmers, the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Private Entrepreneurs, the Republic Health Insurance Agency, and the National Employment Service.

    103rd session of the Legislative Committee

    The Legislative Committee held its one hundred and third session on 27 November. The Committee discussed and ruled as legally possible the Innovations Bill, the Science and Research Bill, the Serbian Encyclopaedia Bill, and the Bill on the Dictionary of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, and the Proposal of the Decision Establishing the National Corruption Suppression Strategy all of which had been put forward by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

    2nd session of the Local Self-government Committee

    Speaking at the second session of the Local Self-government Committee, the Chairman of the National Assembly, Predrag Markovic, made a solemn announcement that the Local Self-government Property Bill would enter Assembly procedure on Friday 25 November 2005.Mr Markovic promised that the agenda of the December session of the Second Regular Sitting would include the Local Self-government Property Bill, and expressed his conviction that this would be another in a long line of bills to receive the support of all parliamentary parties.
