2nd session of the Local Self-government Committee
Speaking at the second session of the Local Self-government Committee, the Chairman of the National Assembly, Predrag Markovic, made a solemn announcement that the Local Self-government Property Bill would enter Assembly procedure on Friday 25 November 2005.Mr Markovic promised that the agenda of the December session of the Second Regular Sitting would include the Local Self-government Property Bill, and expressed his conviction that this would be another in a long line of bills to receive the support of all parliamentary parties.

Mr Markovic promised that the agenda of the December session of the Second Regular Sitting would include the Local Self-government Property Bill, and expressed his conviction that this would be another in a long line of bills to receive the support of all parliamentary parties.
A group of deputies figures as the authorised proposer of the Bill, which foresees returning property rights to local self-government bodies. Mr Markovic was the first to back the Local Self-government Property Bill, by signing it at the session.
Deputies' Groups, representatives of the Standing Conference of Cities and Municipalities, and professional organisations all took part in drafting the Bill.
