At its session held on 25 November, the Administrative Committee discussed a request made by the Jagodina District Public Prosecutor’s Office to authorise the remand in custody of Goran Kostic, judge of the Paracin Municipal Court.

The Committee unanimously ruled to propose that the National Assembly should adopt a decision authorising the remand in custody of Mr Kostic, as there are reasonable grounds to believe that he has committed the criminal offence of accepting a bribe in connection with his office.

The Committee also proposed that the National Assembly should consider the proposal of such a decision under urgent procedure by including the proposal in the agenda of the current session of the National Assembly, without waiting for discussion to end on other items from the agenda of the Fifth Session of the Second Regular Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2005.

The Committee’s session was chaired by the Committee’s chairman, Tomislav Nikolic.
