101st session of the Legislative Committee

At its session held on 23 November 2005, the Legislative Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed amendments submitted to the Bill on the Budget of the Republic of Serbia for 2006, with its accompanying Memorandum on the Budget and Economic and Fiscal Policy for 2006, projections for 2007 and 2008, and proposals of decisions granting consent to financial plans for 2006 of the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Employees, the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Farmers, the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Private Entrepreneurs, the Republic Health Insurance Agency, and the National Employment Service, proposed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.


At its session held on 23 November 2005, the Legislative Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia discussed amendments submitted to the Bill on the Budget of the Republic of Serbia for 2006, with its accompanying Memorandum on the Budget and Economic and Fiscal Policy for 2006, projections for 2007 and 2008, and proposals of decisions granting consent to financial plans for 2006 of the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Employees, the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Farmers, the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Private Entrepreneurs, the Republic Health Insurance Agency, and the National Employment Service, proposed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia. The Committee ruled that 13 amendments to the Budget Bill were legally possible, while 30 amendments were assessed by the Legislative Committee as not legally possible.

A total of eight amendments were submitted to the Bill Amending and Modifying the Bill on the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia. The Legislative Committee ruled that three amendments were legally possible, and recommended that the National Assembly should reject another five.
Of a total of 15 amendments submitted to the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on Public Enterprises and Performance of Activities of General Interest, thirteen were assessed as legally possible; the Assembly is being recommended to reject another two.
The Legislative Committee also discussed 28 amendments submitted to the Bill on the Prevention of Money Laundering; all were assessed as legally possible.
One hundred and fifty-six amendments were submitted to the Banks Bill. The Committee ruled that 117 of these were legally possible; another 39 amendments are to be forwarded to the National Assembly with the recommendation that they should be rejected. The Legislative Committee revised the text of Articles 137, 138 and 141 of the Banks Bill.
The Committee ruled that all amendments, a total of 78, submitted to the Health Insurance Bill were legally possible.
A total of 22 amendments were submitted to the Serbian Red Cross Bill; according to the Legislative Committee, all are legally possible.
Two amendments, of a total of 36 submitted to the Health Practitioners' Chambers Bill, were assessed as not legally possible.
