    Ninetieth Sitting of the Legislative Committee

    At the sitting held on 11 May, the Legislative Committee considered the amendments to the Bill on Preventing Harassment at Work (76), Bill on Volunteer Work (72), Bill amending and modifying the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance (2), Bill amending and modifying the Law on Decorations of the Republic of Serbia (1) and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the State Audit Institution (7).

    Eighty-Ninth Sitting of the Legislative Committee

    At the sitting held on 5 May, the Legislative Committee considered, in principle, the Bills on Preventing Harassment at Work; on Volunteer Work; amending and modifying the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance; amending and modifying the Law on Decorations of the Republic of Serbia; amending and modifying the Law on the State Audit Institution; on the Confirmation of the Financial Agreement (Research and development in the public sector) between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank; on the Confirmation of the Donation Agreement (Relief for infrastructure projects for the local framework) part of IPA 2008 multi-beneficiary programme between the European Investment Bank and the Republic of Serbia and the City of Belgrade; on the Confirmation of the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and EFTA States; on the Confirmation of the Convention on the Grant of European Patents (European Patent Convention) of 5 October 1973, with amendments to Article 63 of the European Patent Convention of 17 December 1991 and as amended on 29 November 2000; on the Confirmation of the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks, the Rulebook on the Implementation of the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks and the Resolution by the Diplomatic Conference Supplementary to the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks and the Rulebook on the Implementation of the Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks; on the Confirmation of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Institutional Framework of the Disaster Prevention and Preparedness Initiative for South-Eastern Europe and on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Croatia on inland waterways navigation and technical maintenance.

    Eighty-Seventh Sitting of the Legislative Committee

    At the sitting held on 19 April, the Legislative Committee considered the amendments to the Bill amending and modifying the Refugee Law (22), Bill amending and modifying the Law on Regional Development (20), Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Right to Free Shares and Monetary Compensation Exercised by Citizens Within the Process of Privatisation (59), Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Privatisation Agency (24) and the Metrology Bill (37).

    Eighty-Sixth Sitting of the Legislative Committee

    At the sitting held on 14 April, the Legislative Committee discussed in principle 57 Bills included in the agenda for the Second Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2010. The Committee members unanimously adopted the proposal that the Committee should inform the National Assembly that the Bill on Central Registry for Mandatory Social Security, as well as the 56 Bills confirming agreements, contracts, memorandums, conventions and protocols, adhere to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

    Eighty-Fifth Sitting of the Legislative Committee

    At the sitting held on 13 April, the Legislative Committee discussed, in principle, 11 Bills and a Decision Proposal included in the agenda for the Second Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2010. The Committee unanimously adopted the proposal that the Committee inform the National Assembly that the Bills amending and modifying the Law on General Constitutional Procedures, the Law on Official Use of Languages and Scripts, the Act on Publication of Laws and other Enactments and on Publication of the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia and the Law on Postal Services, as well as the Proposal of the Decision on Proclaiming the Old and Rare Book of Extreme Importance, adhere to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

    Eighty-Fourth Sitting of the Legislative Committee

    At the sitting held on 7 April, the Legislative Committee discussed in principle 16 Bills submitted by the Government and included in the agenda for the Second Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2010. Representatives of the ministries of health and agriculture took part in the Committee sitting.

    Eighty-Third Sitting of the Legislative Committee

    At the sitting held on 30 March, the Legislative Committee adopted the Uniform Methodological Rules for Legislative Drafting which shall come into use on 1 July 2010. At the sitting, the Committee rejected the amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Right to Free Shares and Monetary Compensation Exercised by Citizens Within the Process of Privatisation and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Privatisation Agency as untimely.

    At the sitting held on 30 March, the Legislative Committee discussed the Proposal of the Declaration of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Condemning the Crime in Srebrenica and estimated that the text of the Declaration Proposal adheres to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

    Eightieth Sitting of the Legislative Committee

    At the sitting held on 16 March, the Legislative Committee discussed the amendments submitted to the set of financial Bills included in the agenda for the First Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2010. The Committee deemed all the amendments submitted to the Customs Bill legally feasible, as well as the amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Corporate Income Tax Law and Bill amending and modifying the Personal Income Tax Law, except for one amendment submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Personal Income Tax Law which was rejected as incomplete.
