At the sitting held on 7 April, the Legislative Committee discussed in principle 16 Bills submitted by the Government and included in the agenda for the Second Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2010. Representatives of the ministries of health and agriculture took part in the Committee sitting.

The Committee decided to inform the National Assembly that the Bills on Protection from Exposure to Tobacco Smoke, on Medicines and Medical Devices on Forests, on Water, on Recognition of Agricultural Plant Varieties, on Beer, amending and modifying the Law on Veterinary Practice, on Organic Production and on Advisory and Expert Services in the Field of Agriculture, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management adhere to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

Committee member Vjerica Radeta reserved her opinion on these Bills.

The Legislative Committee decided to inform the National Assembly that the Bills on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of India on cooperation in the field of agriculture and allied sectors, of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the State of Israel on cooperation in the field of agriculture, of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran on cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine and animal health protection, of the European Convention for the protection of vertebrate animals used for experimental and other scientific purposes amended by the Protocol of amendment to the European Convention on the protection of vertebrates intended for experimental and other scientific purposes, of the European Convention for the Protection of Pet Animals, of the Supplementary Agreement to the Basic Agreement on Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Federal Republic of Brazil on cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine and of the Convention on the Protection and Use of Cross-Border Waterways and International Lakes and Amendments to articles 25 and 26 to the Convention on the Protection and Use of Cross-Border Waterways and International Lakes also adhere to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

Committee member Vjerica Radeta reserved her opinion on three of the Bills on the confirmation of European conventions.
