At the sitting held on 5 February 2026, the members of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications considered the Report of the Working Group tasked with ascertaining the compliance with requirements in the procedure of nomination of candidates for the election of Chair and four members of the Council of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (RATEL).
The Chairman of the Working Group tasked with ascertaining the compliance with requirements in the procedure of nomination of candidates for the election of Chair and four members of the RATEL Council Tomislav Jankovic presented the Report and informed the Committee about the applications received in a timely manner. The Working Group had reviewed the applications and accompanying documentation and noted that all the nominated candidates comply with requirements. The candidates nominated for Chair of RATEL Council are: Prof. Dr Momcilo Dobrodolac, Prof. Dr Goran Markovic, Snezana Petrovic, Prof. Dr Bojan Stanivukovic and Mira Stevanovic, and the candidates nominated for four members of the RATEL Council are: Prof. Dr Mladenka Blagojevic, MA Lazar Mosurovic, Dr Slobodan Ristic, Prof. Dr Momcilo Dobrodolac, Prof. Dr Goran Markovic, Snezana Petrovic, Prof. Dr Bojan Stanivukovic and Mira Stevanovic.
The Committee members interviewed the seven candidates for the election of Chair and four members of the Council of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services, while the candidate that did not attend today’s sitting will be interviewed at a later date.
The sitting was adjourned and the Committee members will be duly informed about its continuation.

The 18th Sitting of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications was continued on 13 February 2026, with an interview with Mira Stevanovic, candidate for the election of Chair and four members of the Council of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services.
The Committee did not ascertain the List of Candidates for the election of Chair of the Council of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services because none of the proposed candidates won the required majority vote.
The Committee also ruled on ascertaining the List of Candidates for the election of four members of the Council of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services. None of the proposed candidates won the required majority vote, due to which the Committee did not ascertain the List of Candidates for Council members.
Considering that, after the conducted procedure the Committee did not ascertain the candidate lists for the election of Chair and four members of the Council of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications, the Committee Chairman stressed that it is paramount to repeat the procedure for the election of Council Chair and members as soon as possible. He stressed that in the repeat procedure, the candidates who did not win the required majority in the previous one, also have the right to apply.
