Eighty-Fifth Sitting of the Legislative Committee

At the sitting held on 13 April, the Legislative Committee discussed, in principle, 11 Bills and a Decision Proposal included in the agenda for the Second Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2010. The Committee unanimously adopted the proposal that the Committee inform the National Assembly that the Bills amending and modifying the Law on General Constitutional Procedures, the Law on Official Use of Languages and Scripts, the Act on Publication of Laws and other Enactments and on Publication of the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia and the Law on Postal Services, as well as the Proposal of the Decision on Proclaiming the Old and Rare Book of Extreme Importance, adhere to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Legislative Committee decided to inform the National Assembly that the Bills on the Confirmation of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, of the Council of Europe Framework Convention on the Value of Cultural Heritage for Society, of the Amendment to article XII (c) (ii) of the Agreement on International Telecommunications Satellite Organisation (ITSO), of the Final Acts of the Regional Radiocommunication Conference for planning of the digital terrestrial broadcasting service in parts of Regions 1 and 3, in the frequency bands 174-230 MHz and 470-862 MHz (RRC-06), of the Protocol revising certain parts of the Regional Agreement for the European Broadcasting Area (Stockholm, 1961), with Resolutions (RRC-06-Rev/ST61) and of Acts amending the Constitution and Convention of the International Telecommunications Union, also adhere to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee rejected the amendments submitted to the Bill on Forests as untimely.

The sitting was chaired by Vlatko Ratkovic, Committee Chairman.
