National Assembly Deputy Speaker Natasa Jovanovic Talks to Council of Europe PA Monitoring Committee
Today, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Natasa Jovanovic received Andreas Gross and Artemy Karpenko, members of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Monitoring Committee, who were interested in the Serbian Radical Party’s position on the electoral system in Serbia and issues concerning the increase of the National Assembly’s work efficiency.

National Assembly Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic Talks to Council of Europe PA Rapporteurs
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received today a delegation of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Monitoring Committee so as to brief them on the progress made in the functioning of the National Assembly since the previous visit in September of last year.

DPS Deputy Group President Talks to PACE Monitoring Committee Rapporteurs
Today at the National Assembly, the President of the Democratic Party of Serbia Deputy Group, Milos Aligrudic talked to the members of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Monitoring Committee, Andreas Gross and Artemy Karpenko about the reasons why the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia did not dispatch a delegation to the regular PACE session in January, the amendments and modifications to the National Assembly Rules of Procedure and the issue of live broadcasting of assembly sessions.

Bajram Omeragic Talks to Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation Representative
Vice President of the Minorities Deputy Group, Bajram Omeragic received the representative of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, Monica Eger and her associate Prof. Bozidar Jaksic. They talked about future cooperation between Serbia and Switzerland on minority rights protection. Monica Eger stressed that the goal of her visit to Serbia is to become closely acquainted with the position of minorities, since, as a bilateral donor, Switzerland is preparing a strategy of cooperation with Serbia on this issue for the 2010 – 2013 period.
