Eighteenth Sitting of the Finance Committee
At the sitting held on 11 February, the Finance Committee discussed the Bill Regulating the Relationship between the Republic of Serbia and borrower or guarantor for liabilities undertaken under loans from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Bill on the Confirmation of the Financial Cooperation Programme between the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Spain with Annex, the Bill on the Confirmation of the Protocol between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Greece modifying the Contract between the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Republic of Greece on avoidance of double taxation regarding income and property tax, the Bill on the Confirmation of the Contract between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania on avoidance of double taxation regarding income and property tax and the Bill amending and modifying the Expropriation Law.

The Request to hold the session set the following agenda:1. National Assembly Speaker and Deputy Group Heads Talk to European Union Expansion Commissioner
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic and the heads of the Deputy Groups at the National Assembly met today at the National Assembly House with the European Union Expansion Commissioner Olli Rehn.

Second Sitting of the Committee on Development and International Economic Relations
At the sitting held on 10 February, the Committee on Development and International Economic Relations discussed the bills on Foreign Trade Transactions, on the cessation of validity of the Foreign Trade Transactions Insurance and Financing Fund Law, on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Romanian Government on economic, scientific and technical cooperation, as well as the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Kingdom of Belgium and the Republic of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Croatia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, the Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, the Republic of Serbia and the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo on Behalf of Kosovo in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 on the privileges and immunities of the Secretariat of the Central European Free Trade Agreement.

First Meeting of Working Group on Broadcasting National Assembly Sessions
Addressing the members of the Working group at the beginning of the meeting, the National Assembly Speaker, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic stressed that the public nature of the Parliament’s work is one of the most important democratic legacies and that the working group has to agree on a manner of following the sessions that would respect that legacy.
