Eighth Sitting of the of the Security Services Control Committee
At the sitting held on 27 December, the Security Services Control Committee established the manner of cooperation between the independent state bodies: Ombudsman, Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection and State Audit Institution, and the Security Services Control Committee in the supervision and control of the security services’ operation in 2013.

Ninth Sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee
The Foreign Affairs Committee sitting held on 29 December saw the completion of the constitution of parliamentary friendship groups with 55 states by the election of parliamentary group heads and members. It was agreed that parliamentary friendship groups with Azerbaijan, Albania, Slovenia, Armenia, Sweden and Norway would be constituted subsequently, after additional consultation.

16th Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government
At the sitting held on 20 December, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government considered the Bill amending and modifying the Criminal Code, in detail.
Out of a considerable number of amendments submitted by the MPs, the Government accepted six. Based on the public debate and the debate it conducted in principle, the Committee formulated three amendments and proposed that the National Assembly accept them.
