Thirty-Seventh Sitting of the Committee on Defense and Security
At the sitting held on 21 February, the Committee on Defense and Security considered the Proposal of the Decision on the Adoption of the Annual Plan for the use of the Serbian Armed Forces and other defense forces in multinational operations in 2011 and the Proposal of the Decision on the participation of Serbian Army personnel in multinational operations in 2011. The decision proposals were elaborated by Tanja Miscevic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Defense, who stressed that the plan and decision had been drafted based on the capacities of the Ministry of Interior, Serbian Armed Forces and Ministry of Defense, funds and the UN’s current needs for the engagement of Serbian forces.

Thirty-Sixth Sitting of the European Integrations Committee
At the sitting held on 18 February, the European Integrations Committee considered the Report on the implementation of the amended and modified National Programme for the Integration of the Republic of Serbia into the European Union (NPI), for period October-December 2010. The Report was presented by Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Integration Bozidar Djelic who declared it very important to complete the implementation of the Government’s Action Plan to speed up the EU candidacy acquisition process by the end of June so as to ensure the European Commission’s positive opinion which should be presented to Serbia by the EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule on 12 October.
