Aleksandar Cotric Elected Member of Secretariat of Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy
The Head of the standing delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy (IAO), MP Aleksandar Cotric, was elected member of the organisation’s Secretariat at the 19th annual session, held from 26 to 29 June 2012 in Prague.

MPs Take Part in Interparliamentary Workshop “Role of Parliaments in the EU Accession Negotiation Process”
MPs Gordana Comic, Jorgovanka Tabakovic and Laszlo Varga took part in the Interparliamentary Workshop titled “Role of Parliaments in the EU Accession Negotiation Process”, held in Becici from 20 to 22 June 2012, at the initiative of the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Ranko Krivokapic and co-organised by the Montenegrin Parliament and the European Parliament.

Judges Take Oath of Office
Judges Tatjana Djurica from Belgrade and Miomir Mitrovic from Nis took the oath of office today, before the Chair of the First Sitting of the National Assembly, Member of Parliament Zaharije Trnavcevic, in line with the High Judicial Council Decision on the adoption of objections and the election of judges to permanent judicial office.

National Assembly Hosts Seminar on “Strengthening the Legislative and Control Capacities of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia”
As part of the National Assembly’s cooperation with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, with the support of the Lawyers’ Committee for Human Rights (YUCOM), and as part of the realisation of the programme “Strengthening the legislative and control capacities of the National Assembly”, today, the Assembly hosted a seminar on the aspect of human rights and rule of law in the legislative process, intended for the employees at the National Assembly’s Legislation Sector.
