    The Second Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2001

    The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dragan Marsicanin convened the Second Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly for October 22, 2001. At the beginning of the sitting, the National Assembly noted that Aleksandar Pravdic had tendered his resignation of the office of Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, while Obren Joksimovic tendered his resignation of the office of Minister of Health and Environmental Protection in the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

    Mr Dragan Marsicanin, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, welcomed today at the Assembly Dr Allen Kassof, the president of the American organisation ` The Project on Inter-Ethnic Relations` (PER) and Mr Alex Grigoriev, its programme director.

    Talks with the Council of Europe Representatives

    The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dragan Maršicanin, together with Deputies Nada Kolundzija, President of the Committee on Foreign Relations, and Dejan Mihajlov, member of the Legislative Committee, held talks at the Assembly today with the Council of Europe representatives Hans Peter Fuhrer, special envoy of the Secretary-General of the Council of Europe for Yugoslavia and Marc Schoyer, director of the Political Council of the Council of Europe.

    The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dragan Marsicanin convened the First Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly for October 2, 2001.On the first day of the sitting, after a proposal had been made by the Administrative Committee, the Assembly confirmed the mandate of Deputy Vladan Radovanovic, elected on the Democratic Opposition of Serbia - Vojislav Kostunica PhD Electoral List.
