Eighteenth Sitting of the Privatisation Committee
At the sitting held on 7 April, the Privatisation Committee considered the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Right to Free Shares and Monetary Compensation Exercised by Citizens Within the Process of Privatisation and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Privatisation Agency, in principle.

Sixteenth Sitting of the Committee on Transportation and Communications
At the sitting held on 7 April, the members of the Committee on Transportation and Communications considered in principle 18 Bills on the agenda for the Second Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2010.The Committee considered: the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Postal Services, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in the field of infrastructural projects, Bill on the Confirmation of the International Convention on the Control of Harmful Anti-fouling Systems on Ships, Bill on the Confirmation of the Protocol of 3 June 1999 for the Modification of the Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail (COTIF) of 9 May 1980 (1999 Protocol) and the Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail (COTIF) of 9 May 1980 version of the Protocol of Modification of 3 June 1999, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Montenegro on border control in railway transport, Bill on the Confirmation of the European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR 2007), Bill on the Confirmation of the European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Inland Waterways (ADN), Bill on the Confirmation of the Protocol of 2005 to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts Against the Safety of Maritime Navigation, Bill on the Confirmation of the Budapest Convention on the Contract for the Carriage of Goods by Inland Waterways (CMNI), Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement on Foundation Cooperation Trans-European Railway (TER), Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Montenegro on international transport of passengers and goods by road, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Hungary on international combined transport of goods and logistics services, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran on international transport of passengers and goods by road, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Swiss Federal Council on transport of passengers and goods by road, Bill on the Confirmation of the Amendment to article XII (c) (ii) of the Agreement on International Telecommunications Satellite Organisation (ITSO), Bill on the Confirmation of the Final Acts of the Regional Radiocommunication Conference for planning of the digital terrestrial broadcasting service in parts of Regions 1 and 3, in the frequency bands 174-230 MHz and 470-862 MHz (RRC-06), Bill on the Confirmation of the Protocol revising certain parts of the Regional Agreement for the European Broadcasting Area (Stockholm, 1961), with Resolutions (RRC-06-Rev/ST61) and the Bill on the Confirmation of Acts amending the Constitution and Convention of the International Telecommunications Union.

Eighty-Fourth Sitting of the Legislative Committee
At the sitting held on 7 April, the Legislative Committee discussed in principle 16 Bills submitted by the Government and included in the agenda for the Second Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2010. Representatives of the ministries of health and agriculture took part in the Committee sitting.

Twenty-Fourth Sitting of the Culture and Information Committee
At the sitting held on 1 April, the Culture and Information Committee held a public hearing on the cooperation of private and public sectors in financing culture, a topic debated at the three-day conference organised by the Zubin Mehta Belgrade Philharmonic Foundation in cooperation with the US Embassy in Serbia, that the hearing is part of.

Eighty-Third Sitting of the Legislative Committee
At the sitting held on 30 March, the Legislative Committee adopted the Uniform Methodological Rules for Legislative Drafting which shall come into use on 1 July 2010. At the sitting, the Committee rejected the amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Right to Free Shares and Monetary Compensation Exercised by Citizens Within the Process of Privatisation and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Privatisation Agency as untimely.

At the fifty-second sitting held on 29 and 30 March, the members of the Finance Committee discussed the Bills on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and Malta on Avoidance of Double Taxation with respect to taxes on income, on the Confirmation of the Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Czech Republic to the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Serbia and Montenegro and the Government of the Czech Republic on Avoidance of Double Taxation with respect to taxes on income and property, on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Estonia on Avoidance of Double Taxation with respect to taxes on income, on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and Ireland on Avoidance of Double Taxation with respect to taxes on income, on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arabic Jamahiriya on Avoidance of Double Taxation with respect to taxes on income and on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the State of Qatar on Avoidance of Double Taxation with respect to taxes on income.
