    Third Sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee

    At the third sitting, held on 6 November, the Foreign Affairs Committee conducted an interview with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Great Britain, Prof. Dr Dejan Popovic, before his departure for diplomatic duty. The sitting was chaired by Prof. Dr Dragoljub Micunovic. Presenting the programme of his future activities, Ambassador Popovic pointed out the necessity to essentially further bilateral relations with Great Britain, a permanent member of the UN Security Council with special ties to the USA and one of the most influential members of the European Union.

    Second Sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee

    At the sitting held on 9 October, the Foreign Affairs Committee adopted the Report on International Cooperation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2007. The sitting was chaired by Prof. Dr Dragoljub Micunovic, the Committee Chairman. The National Assembly’s parliamentary cooperation for the rest of 2008 was also discussed at the sitting, and several visitation initiatives were adopted.

    At the first sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee, held on 4 July, Prof. Dr Dragoljub Micunovic from the Deputy Group For European Serbia was elected Committee Chairman, and Milos Aligrudic from the Democratic Party of Serbia-New Serbia-Vojislav Kostunica Deputy Group was elected his deputy.
