43rd Sitting of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society

At the sitting held on 22 January, the members of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society considered a number of bills on the agenda of the 19th Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 11th Legislature, in detail.

The Government and the Committee proposed that the National Assembly reject all of the eight amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on National Qualifications Framework of the Republic of Serbia.

The Government and the Committee also proposed that the National Assembly reject the 18 amendments submitted to the Bill on Trade Marks.

Of the 18 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Foundations of the Education System, the Government and the Committee accepted the amendment submitted to Article 21 by Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, rejecting the rest.

The Government and the Committee proposed that the National Assembly reject all 11 of the amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Secondary Education.

The Government and the Committee also proposed that the National Assembly reject the 12 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Dual Education.

The sitting was attended by representative of the submitter, Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic and Director of the Intellectual Property Office Vladimir Maric.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Muamer Zukorlic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Doc. Dr Mihailo Jokic, Prof. Dr Ljubisa Stojmirovic, Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic, Milena Bicanin, Arpad Fremond, Prof. Dr Milan Knezevic and Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic.
