    Chairman Markovic to vote on Sunday

    The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, will vote in the referendum to confirm the proposed new Constitution of the Republic of Serbia at 11 am on Sunday 29 October, at Polling Station 1 at the Prva Ekonomska Secondary School at 46, Matije Gupca street in the Belgrade suburb of Rakovica.

    PACE Ad Hoc Delegation to monitor referendum

    On 26 October, the head of the Permanent Representation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Milos Aligrudic, and Representation members, Miloljub Albijanic and Dusan Prorokovic, met members of the PACE Ad Hoc Delegation on a visit to Serbia, where they are to serve as a monitoring mission for the referendum to confirm Serbia’s proposed new constitution.

    Sixty-fourth anniversary of World War II mass execution of civilians marked in Kragujevac

    At the invitation of the mayor of Kragujevac, Veroljub Stevanovic, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, again attended memorial services to mark the 64th anniversary of the mass execution of civilians in Kragujevac during World War II.

    National Assembly Chairman and Hungarian Parliamentary Speaker unveil Palic memorial plaque

    The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, and the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Hungary, Katalin Szili, today unveiled a memorial plaque in the northern Serbian town of Palic, site of a refugee camp for those fleeing Hungary during the 1956 revolution.

    On 17 October, at Assembly House, the chairman of the Serbian Radical Party Deputies’ Group at the National Assembly, Tomislav Nikolic, together with other members of the Deputies’ Group met heads of diplomatic missions to Belgrade of 15 member states of the Non-Aligned Movement.
