Seventeenth Sitting of the Privatisation Committee
At the sitting held on 4 March, the Privatisation Committee considered the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Report on the Activities of the Privatisation Agency for December 2009 and January 2010. They also discussed the Privatisation Agency’s 2009 Activity Report and the Privatisation Agency’s Work Programme for January and February 2010.The agenda for the sitting also included the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Report on the Activities of the Republic of Serbia Share Fund for December 2009 and January 2010.The Committee sitting was chaired by Milan Nikolic, Committee Chairman.

Seventy-Ninth Sitting of the Legislative Committee
At the sitting held on 4 March, the Legislative Committee discussed in principle nine Bills submitted by the Government and included in the agenda for the First Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2010. The Committee deemed that the Bills amending and modifying the Law on Scientific and Research Activities, amending and modifying the Law on Innovative Activities, on the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU), on Geographical Indications, on the Confirmation of the Patent Law Treaty, on the Confirmation of the Nice Agreement Concerning the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purpose of the Registration of Marks of 15 June 1957, as revised in Stockholm on 14 July 1967 and Geneva on 13 May 1977 and as amended on 28 September 1979, on Amnesty, amending and modifying the Law on State Land Survey and Cadastre and amending and modifying the Law on International Road Transport, adhere to the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

Nineteenth Sitting of the Committee on Defense and Security
At the sitting held on 4 March, the Committee on Defense and Security considered the Bills on the confirmation of nine international agreements submitted by the Government and included in the agenda for the First Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2010.The Committee members conducted a unified discussion on the Bill on the Confirmation of the Police Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of France, Bill on the Confirmation of the Police Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Swiss Confederation in the fight against crime, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the State of Israel on cooperation in the fight against illicit traffic in and abuse of narcotics and psychotropic substances, terrorism and other grave criminal offenses, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Swiss Confederation on readmission of persons residing illegally with Implementation Protocol to the Agreement, Bill on the Confirmation of the Police Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Croatia, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Croatia on extradition and acceptance of persons of illegal entry or residence, with Implementation Protocol to the Agreement, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Norway on readmission of persons residing illegally, Bill on the Confirmation of the Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Italy on the Implementation of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the European Community on readmission of persons residing illegally and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Kingdom of Spain on reciprocal recognition and exchange of national driver’s licenses.
