    NARS Speaker Receives Representatives of Roma Ethnic Minority National Council

    The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received today the representatives of the Roma Ethnic Minority National Council: Vitomir Mihajlovic, Council President and deputy at the republic parliament, Sofka Vasiljkovic, Council Vice-President, Amet Arifi, Council Vice-President, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Executive Committee Vice-President and Tane Kurtic, Secretary General.

    Twentieth Sitting of the Privatisation Committee

    At the sitting held on 7 April, the Privatisation Committee considered and accepted the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Reports on the Activities of the Privatisation Agency for February 2010 and on the Activities of the Republic of Serbia Share Fund for February 2010, as well as the Privatisation Agency’s Work Programme for March 2010.In addition, the Committee discussed and accepted the Privatisation Agency’s Information on broken contracts and sale of public capital by public tender and public competition, on the dates and grounds for breaking contracts since the beginning of the privatisation process.

    Nineteenth Sitting of the Privatisation Committee

    At the sitting held on 7 April, the Privatisation Committee considered and accepted the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Reports on the Activities of the Privatisation Agency for December 2009 and January 2010. They also discussed and accepted the Privatisation Agency’s 2009 Activity Report and the Privatisation Agency’s Work Programmes for January and February 2010.The Committee also discussed and accepted the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Reports on the Activities of the Republic of Serbia Share Fund for December 2009 and January 2010.The sitting was chaired by Milan Nikolic, Committee Chairman.

    At the sitting held on 7 April, the Privatisation Committee considered the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Right to Free Shares and Monetary Compensation Exercised by Citizens Within the Process of Privatisation and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Privatisation Agency, in principle.

    Sixteenth Sitting of the Committee on Transportation and Communications

    At the sitting held on 7 April, the members of the Committee on Transportation and Communications considered in principle 18 Bills on the agenda for the Second Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2010.The Committee considered: the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Postal Services, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in the field of infrastructural projects, Bill on the Confirmation of the International Convention on the Control of Harmful Anti-fouling Systems on Ships, Bill on the Confirmation of the Protocol of 3 June 1999 for the Modification of the Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail (COTIF) of 9 May 1980 (1999 Protocol) and the Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail (COTIF) of 9 May 1980 version of the Protocol of Modification of 3 June 1999, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Montenegro on border control in railway transport, Bill on the Confirmation of the European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR 2007), Bill on the Confirmation of the European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Inland Waterways (ADN), Bill on the Confirmation of the Protocol of 2005 to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts Against the Safety of Maritime Navigation, Bill on the Confirmation of the Budapest Convention on the Contract for the Carriage of Goods by Inland Waterways (CMNI), Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement on Foundation Cooperation Trans-European Railway (TER), Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Montenegro on international transport of passengers and goods by road, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Hungary on international combined transport of goods and logistics services, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran on international transport of passengers and goods by road, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Swiss Federal Council on transport of passengers and goods by road, Bill on the Confirmation of the Amendment to article XII (c) (ii) of the Agreement on International Telecommunications Satellite Organisation (ITSO), Bill on the Confirmation of the Final Acts of the Regional Radiocommunication Conference for planning of the digital terrestrial broadcasting service in parts of Regions 1 and 3, in the frequency bands 174-230 MHz and 470-862 MHz (RRC-06), Bill on the Confirmation of the Protocol revising certain parts of the Regional Agreement for the European Broadcasting Area (Stockholm, 1961), with Resolutions (RRC-06-Rev/ST61) and the Bill on the Confirmation of Acts amending the Constitution and Convention of the International Telecommunications Union.

    Eighty-Fourth Sitting of the Legislative Committee

    At the sitting held on 7 April, the Legislative Committee discussed in principle 16 Bills submitted by the Government and included in the agenda for the Second Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2010. Representatives of the ministries of health and agriculture took part in the Committee sitting.
