At the sitting held on 30 March, the Finance Committee discussed in principle the Bills amending and modifying the Law on Securities and other Financial Instruments Market, on State Aid Control and amending and modifying the Excise Law. At the same sitting, the Committee discussed several bills confirming agreements and contracts from the filed of finance.

On the behalf of the submitters, State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Slobodan Ilic presented the bills to the Committee members, and after a short discussion the Committee adopted the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Securities and other Financial Instruments Market, State Aid Control Bill and the Bill amending and modifying the Excise Law in principle, by a majority of votes.

The Committee members went on to adopt in principle, by a majority of votes, the Bills on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Russian Federation on the regulation of obligations of the former USSR in the settlement of goods transactions; on the Confirmation of the Framework Loan Contract concluded between the Republic of Serbia and the Council of Europe Development Bank; on the Confirmation of the Financial Contract between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank “Municipal and Regional Infrastructure Loan” and on the Confirmation of the Financial Contract between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank for the Clinical Centres/B Project.

The Committee members also accepted in principle, by a majority of votes, the Bills they had debated at the eighteenth sitting held on 11 February: the Bill Regulating the Relationship between the Republic of Serbia and borrower or guarantor for liabilities undertaken under loans from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development; the Bill on the Confirmation of the Financial Cooperation Program between the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Spain with Annex; the Bill on the Confirmation of the Protocol between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Greece modifying the Contract between the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Republic of Greece on avoidance of double taxation regarding income and property tax and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Contract between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Lithuania on avoidance of double taxation regarding income and property tax.

The Committee elected deputy Dragan Vujadinovic member of the Economic Reform Committee, and deputy Zoran Kasalovic member of the Subcommittee on issues concerning the improvement of the position of Roma and implementation of the Decade of Roma.
