42nd Sitting of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending

At the sitting held on 4 February 2026, the members of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending considered the Report of the Working group tasked with ascertaining the compliance with requirements in the procedure of nomination of candidates for office in autonomous and independent state bodies and organisations elected by the National Assembly at public calls.

The Report was presented by the Chairperson of the Working Group Jasmina Palurovic, and after a debate the Committee adopted it by majority vote.

The Committee then proceeded to interview the candidate for the election of one member of the Republic Commission for Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures, Mersiha Markovic. As the proposed candidate did not win the majority vote needed to be elected, the Committee Chairman said that the Committee needs to repeat the procedure for the election of one member of the Republic Commission for Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures, which will be done at the next Committee sitting.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Veroljub Arsic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Nikola Radosavljevic, Branko Pavlovic, Mgr Akos Ujhelyi, Tijana Davidovac, Miroslav Aleksic, Ana Martac Beloica, Nenad Krstic, Katarina Stojanovic, Vojislav Vujic, Ilo Mihajlovski, Pedja Mitrovic and Jasmina Palurovic.
