Twenty-Second Sitting of the Administrative Committee

At the sitting held on 3 November, the Administrative Committee discussed the Republic Electoral Commission’s Report on the election of a deputy for the purpose of filling a vacant deputy seat at the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

At the sitting held on 3 November, the Administrative Committee discussed the Republic Electoral Commission’s Report on the election of a deputy for the purpose of filling a vacant deputy seat at the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee noted that the termination of deputy Vidoje Petrovic’s mandate, elected from the electoral list For European Serbia – Boris Tadic, before the end of the term he was elected for, left a vacant deputy seat at the National Assembly. In line with the Law on the Election of Deputies, the mandate belongs to the party from whose electoral list the deputy whose mandate was terminated was elected.

Based on the Republic Electoral Commission’s Report and certificate on election of deputy, the Committee proposed that the National Assembly note the verification of mandate of deputy Miroslava Pejica, from the electoral list For European Serbia – Boris Tadic.

The Committee ascertained that deputy Miodrag Miljkovic, elected from the electoral list For European Serbia – Boris Tadic, tendering resignation falls under article 88, paragraph 1 item 2 of the Law on the Election of Deputies, according to which tendering resignation is one of the reasons for the expiration of a deputy’s mandate before the end of the term he was elected for. Therefore, the Committee proposed that the National Assembly acknowledge the end of mandate of the named deputy.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Deputy Chairman.
