Thirty-Second Sitting of the Committee on Justice and Administration

At the sitting held on 16 July, the Committee on Justice and Administration considered the six judiciary Bills included into the agenda for the Eleventh Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2009.The Committee unanimously endorsed the Bills on Cooperation with the International Criminal Court, amending and modifying the Law on Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions, amending and modifying the Law on Organisation and Jurisdiction of Government Authorities in Suppression of Organised Crime, on Execution of Prison Sentence for Criminal Offenses of Organised Crime, as well as the Bills amending and modifying the Criminal Procedure Law and the Criminal Code, in principle.



At the sitting held on 16 July, the Committee on Justice and Administration considered the six judiciary Bills included into the agenda for the Eleventh Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2009.

The Committee unanimously endorsed the Bills on Cooperation with the International Criminal Court, amending and modifying the Law on Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions, amending and modifying the Law on Organisation and Jurisdiction of Government Authorities in Suppression of Organised Crime, on Execution of Prison Sentence for Criminal Offenses of Organised Crime, as well as the Bills amending and modifying the Criminal Procedure Law and the Criminal Code, in principle. Two Committee members from the Serbian Radical Party reserved their opinions.

The Committee adopted the Proposal of the Decision on termination of judicial office, terminating the judicial office of Verica Milanovic, Jagodina District Court judge, due to mandatory retirement.

At the sitting, the Committee decided to launch an initiative to establish cooperation with the corresponding committee at the Parliament of the Kingdom of Holland.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Bosko Ristic.
