Third Sitting of the Committee on Trade and Tourism

At the sitting held on 3 and 7 April, the members of the Committee on Trade and Tourism discussed in principle the Tourism Bill submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.



At the sitting held on 3 and 7 April, the members of the Committee on Trade and Tourism discussed in principle the Tourism Bill submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Milan Djokic.

State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Goran Petkovic presented the Bill stressing that it is based on the tenets of tourism such as integral and sustainable development of tourism and protection of the national economy and it introduces new concepts – tourism register and a new definition of tourism promotion organisations.

The Committee members had commenced the discussion in principle on the Bill on 3 April and continued it on 7 April.

In the continuation, the members of the Committee on Trade and Tourism completed the discussion on the Tourism Bill and accepted the Bill in principle by a majority of votes. The Committee also submitted ten amendments to the Bill, to articles 1, 14, 45 which adds a new chapter, chapter VII, after article 87, 111, 115, 118, 119, 120 and 121, which were accepted at the Committee sitting by the representative of the submitters.
