Sixty-First Sitting of the Finance Committee

At the sitting held on 25 November, the Finance Committee considered the amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the 2010 Republic of Serbia Budget Law, with its accompanying proposals of decisions granting consent to the amendments and modifications to the financial plans for 2010 of: 1) the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Employees, and 2) the National Employment Service, the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Deposit Insurance; Bill amending and modifying the Law on Deposit Insurance Agency; Bill amending and modifying the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism and the Bill Granting Guarantee by the Republic of Serbia in favour of Export Development Canada under the debt of RTB Bor - Mining-Smelter Basin Group Bor d.



At the sitting held on 25 November, the Finance Committee considered the amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the 2010 Republic of Serbia Budget Law, with its accompanying proposals of decisions granting consent to the amendments and modifications to the financial plans for 2010 of: 1) the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Employees, and 2) the National Employment Service, the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Deposit Insurance; Bill amending and modifying the Law on Deposit Insurance Agency; Bill amending and modifying the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism and the Bill Granting Guarantee by the Republic of Serbia in favour of Export Development Canada under the debt of RTB Bor - Mining-Smelter Basin Group Bor d.o.o. in restructuring.

A total of 61 amendments were submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the 2010 Republic of Serbia Budget Law, with its accompanying proposals of decisions granting consent to the amendments and modifications to the financial plans for 2010 of: 1) the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance of Employees, and 2) the National Employment Service.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia accepted none of the 56 amendments submitted by the deputies (two of the amendments submitted to article 4 were retracted), and submitted 3 amendments of its own to articles 1, 2 and 4 of the Bill. By a majority of votes, the Committee members accepted none of the 56 amendments submitted by the deputies, accepted all 3 of the Government’s amendments and submitted an amendment of their own to article 4 of the Bill.

The Government and the Committee accepted none of the 12 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Deposit Insurance.

16 amendments were submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Deposit Insurance Agency. The Government and the Committee accepted none of the amendments.

The deputies submitted a total of 5 amendments to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism, which were accepted by neither the Government nor the Committee.

The one amendment submitted to the Bill Granting Guarantee by the Republic of Serbia in favour of Export Development Canada under the debt of RTB Bor - Mining-Smelter Basin Group Bor d.o.o. in restructuring was accepted by neither the Government nor the Finance Committee.
