Sixth Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2003

The Chairperson of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia convened, at the request of a group of 104 Deputies, the Sixth Sixth Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2003 for Wedndesday 26 February, beginning at 3 p.


The Chairperson of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia convened, at the request of a group of 104 Deputies, the Sixth Sixth Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2003 for Wedndesday 26 February, beginning at 3 p.m. The Deputies had set the following agenda for this session:

1. Bill Amending and Modifying the Privatisation Act, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia;
2. Bill on Providing Counter-guarantees of the Republic of Serbia to Serbia and Montenegro as the Guarantor in Dealing with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Relation to Loans to the Cities of Kragujevac, Nis and Novi Sad, submitted by the Government of Serbia.

At the beginning of the debate in principle on the Bill Amending and Modifying the Privatisation Act, the Deputies were addressed by the Minister for the Economy and Privatisation, Aleksandar Vlahovic.

On the second working day (27 February), the Deputies continued debate in principle on the Bill Modifying and Amending the Privatisation Act.

On the third day of work (28 February), the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia concluded the debate on the Bill Modifying and Amending the Privatisation Act. In the afternoon part of the session, the Deputies debated the Bill on Providing Counter-guarantees of the Republic of Serbia to Serbia and Montenegro as the Guarantor in Dealing with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Relation to Loans to the Cities of Kragujevac, Nis and Novi Sad, submitted by the Government of Serbia. The Minister for State Administration and Local Self-government, Rodoljub Sabic, expounded the Bill. After debate ended, the Assembly adopted these Bills as wholes on Voting Day.
