Fifth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 14th Legislature

At the request of 137 MPs, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic convened the Fifth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2025, 14th Legislature, for Tuesday, 10 June 2025, starting at 10 am.


Before moving on to the agenda, the heads i.e. authorised representatives of the parliamentary groups, MPs Aleksandar Jovanovic, Sonja Pernat, Ana Ivanovic, Stefan Janjic, Rastislav Dinic, Branko Pavlovic, Uros Djokic, Jelena Milosevic and Milenko Jovanov, requested information and explanations in line with article 287 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure.

The following agenda has been set for the sitting:

  46. Proposal of the Decision amending the Decision on the Composition of the Standing Delegations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to International Parliamentary Institutions, submitted by the National Assembly Speaker.
The National Assembly accepted the proposal of MP Ana Brnabic and complete a joint debate in principle and single debate on all the items on the agenda.

At the proposal of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues, the National Assembly noted the termination of the term of office of MP Aleksandar Antic and Aleksandra Pavlovic Markovic before the expiry of the term they were elected for, on the day they tendered their resignation.

The Bill on the Exercise of Rights from the Alimony Fund was presented by its submitter, MP Ana Brnabic.

For the remainder of the day the National Assembly conducted the joint debate in principle and single debate on all the items on the agenda.

On the second day of the proceedings, 11 June 2025, the National Assembly continued and concluded the joint debate in principle and single debate on all the items on the agenda.

On the third day of the proceedings, 12 June 2025, before moving on to the agenda, the heads i.e. authorised representatives of the parliamentary groups, MPs Djordjo Djordjic, Dr Borislav Antonijevic, Dragan Jonic, Marija Jevdjic, Dr Emese Uri, Dr Lidija Sarac, Dragan Stanojevic, Slobodan Petrovic, Natalija Stojmenovic, Dr Ana Jakovljevic, Mila Popovic and Dr Ugljesa Mrdic requested information and explanations in line with article 287 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure.

The National Assembly then began the debate in detail on item 1 on the agenda - Bill on the Exercise of Rights from the Alimony Fund.

Based on the Decree of the Republic Electoral Commission and the Report of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues, the National Assembly noted the verification of the term of office of MPs Prof. Dr Andreja Savic and Dubravka Kralj, who then took the oath of office.

By the end of the day, the MPs completed the debate in detail on Bill on the Exercise of Rights from the Alimony Fund Bill amending the Law Establishing a Guarantee Scheme and Subsidizing Part of the Interest as a Measure to Support Young People in Purchasing their First Residential Property and began the debate in detail on the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Electronic Media.

On the fourth day of the proceedings, 16 June 2025, The National Assembly concluded the debate in detail on the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Electronic Media, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Public Media Services, Bill on Air Protection and the Bill on Providing Guarantee by the Republic of Serbia in Favor of OTP Banka Srbija Joint Stock Company Novi Sad, Banka Postanska Stedionica Joint Stock Company, Belgrade and Banca Intesa JSC Belgrade Based on the Debt of Elektrodistribucija Srbije LLC Belgrade, in Connection with the Distribution Network Improvement Project.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate, in principle and in detail, on all the items on the agenda, National Assembly Speaker Ana Brnabic set Monday, 16 June 2025, as Voting Day on the remaining items on the agenda of the Fifth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2025, 14th Legislature, starting at 5.30 pm.

After the MPs had voted on all the items on the agenda, the President of the State Audit Institution, Ivica Gavrilovic, took the oath of office before the National Assembly, and the Chair, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Marina Ragus, wished him success, on the behalf of the MPs and on her own behalf.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate on all the items on the agenda and ruled on them, the Chair, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Marina Ragus concluded the Fifth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2025, 14th Legislature.
