In the meeting with the head of the Italian delegation to the NATO PA Lorenzo Cesa, the Head of the Serbian delegation Prof. Dr Zoran Dragisic emphasised the importance of KFOR for the protection of the Serbian people in the territory of Kosovo-Metohija, especially considering that the Italian General Enrico Barduani is at the head of KFOR. He informed his Italian colleague about the numerous escalating moves by Pristina and the impossible living conditions for the Serbian people in Kosovo-Metohija. Serbs on the territory of Kosovo-Metohija are constantly facing institutional and physical terror from Pristina, which results in the existential threat to the Serbian people and their complete disenfranchisement. He emphasised that Belgrade remains committed to dialogue as the only sustainable path to preserving peace and stability. In addition, possibilities for improving parliamentary cooperation between Serbia and Italy were agreed upon, as well as an exchange of delegation visits in the coming period.

Delegation member Natasa Jovanovic, during the introductory panel, thanked all the delegations that have members in KFOR, emphasising the importance of their role in protecting our people in the southern Serbian province. She introduced parliamentarians from EU and NATO member states to the extremely difficult position of Serbs and the daily increase in tensions by the Albin Kurti regime. She stressed that so-called "Kosovo" has carried out 142 escalating moves in the north of Kosovo-Metohija in the last two years, since the EU member states, on 3 June 2023, asked Pristina for an urgent de-escalation in the north of Kosovo-Metohija. She emphasised that the living conditions of the Serbian people in Kosovo-Metohija are unbearable and that they cannot even exercise basic human rights. Kurti's violent and unilateral moves are calculated directly to raise tensions and cause a crisis in the north of Kosovo-Metohija, because he does not want dialogue, but to expel all Serbs from their centuries-old homes. The Serbian people, despite the daily brutal terror of Albin Kurti, managed to maintain peace and not react to provocations. She concluded that peace in the north of Kosovo and Metohija is preserved solely thanks to the wise and measured policy of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

During the session, which was addressed by Deputy Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Security Policy Javier Colomina, Prof. Dr Dragisic pointed out that a hybrid war is being waged against Serbia, in the form of a disinformation campaign and violent demonstrations aimed at destabilising Serbia.

Participants in this gathering at the European Parliament had the opportunity to exchange views, among others, with the President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Marcos Perestrello, NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Operations Thomas Goffus, as well as the Commissioner for Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius.
