Second Sitting of the Committee on Science and Technological Development
At the second sitting, held on 26 November, the Committee on Science and Technological Development was briefed on the Information on the Planned Activities of the Ministry of Science and Technological Development for the remainder of 2008 and the following 2009.The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Srboljub Zivanovic, and attended by the Minister of Science and Technological Development and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Bozidar Djelic and the Ministry’s State Secretaries, Snezana Pajevic and Milos Nedeljkovic.

Minister Djelic outlined the Information on the Ministry’s Planned Activities for the upcoming period, stressing that their priorities are passing a national strategy for science and technological development, passing the 2009 budget for science, working on amendments and modifications to the Law on Innovation Activities, passing the Law on SANU and passing the Law on Ionizing Radiation Protection and on Nuclear Safety, already in Assembly procedure. Minister Djelic also added that the Ministry will continue to work on the Project to transport spent nuclear fuel from ‘Vinca”
