At the request of a group of 159 deputies, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Dragan Marsicanin, convened the Second Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly in 2004 for 10 a.m. on 12 February 2004.

The following agenda was set in the request for the holding of the session:

1. Election of deputies to the Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro

By a majority of votes, the National Assembly elected deputies to the Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro from the general list of candidates for the election of deputies to the Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro, drawn up by the Republic Electoral Commission from suggestions put forward by National Assembly Deputies’ Groups.

The National Assembly then went on to note the termination of mandates of sixty-six deputies elected to the Parliament of Serbia and Montenegro.

The National Assembly confirmed the mandates of thirty-one deputies to fill seats left vacant at the Assembly, which concluded the Second Extraordinary Sitting of the National Assembly in 2004.
