National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic Sends Telegram of Condolences to European Parliament on Death of President David Sassoli

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic sent deepest condolences on the death of the President of the European Parliament David Sassoli:

"I was deeply shocked by the news of the premature departure of David Sassoli. The European Union was left without a great fighter for its unity and prosperity and Serbia without a friend, strong supporter of EU enlargement and our accession. I cooperated with President Sassoli in the best spirit of understanding and friendship, to both Serbia and the European Union’s benefit. It is our common obligation to continue on that path as a sign of respect for the work of David Sassoli and his friendship for Serbia.”
