National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic Congratulates Christmas to All Citizens Celebrating According to Gregorian Calendar

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic congratulated Christmas to Archbishop Stanislav Hocevar, church dignitaries, clergy and all citizens celebrating the holiday according to the Gregorian calendar, with the wish that we achieve peace and well-being and overcome all the recent troubles.

“On behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and my own behalf, I would like to extend the most heartfelt congratulations to all the faithful celebrating Christmas according to the Gregorian calendar, with the wish that the days ahead be an opportunity to remind us of the beauty of diversity and the need to contribute together to mutual respect and understanding.

May the festive Christmas days take us back to the true values of life, so that in the spirit of solidarity and harmony, we can overcome all the challenges that lie ahead.

The time behind us was full of difficulties and once again showed us how important health, togetherness and humanity are. Only bolstered by faith and hope for a better tomorrow, can we find refuge in peace and prosperity and overcome all the afflictions that have befallen the whole world.

Merry Christmas and blessed New Year 2021.”
