Great Potential for Further Development of Economic Cooperation with China

During her visit to China and participation in the Second Belt and Road Conference on Science and Technology Exchange, National Assembly Deputy Speaker and Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with China, Marina Ragus, visited a number of companies and scientific research centres in Chengdu and Luzhou, Sichuan Province, China.

National Assembly Deputy Speaker Ragus and her delegation visited the companies Aerofugia, Nuclear Industry 416 Hospital, Buffalo Robot Technology and the New Area No. 1 water treatment plant.

At the Aerofugia, the delegation was presented low-level air traffic drone vehicles and the dynamics of future development in this field, while at the Nuclear Industry 416 Hospital they were presented the capacities and equipment for nuclear medicine treatment and healthcare. The Buffalo Robot Technology presented, among other things, an exoskeleton that helps paraplegics walk, while the underground water treatment plant demonstrated the work process and modern technological solutions in the field.

In the city of Luzhou, Deputy Speaker Ragus visited Southwest Medical University, which has 33 faculties and two campuses, the national drink Laojiao distillery boasting a tradition of over 700 years, the Haoneng Transmission Technology - a company which manufactures components for the automotive and mechanical industries, and the Lingang International Trade exhibition and sales area selling European consumer goods.

"We have once again been convinced that the potential for cooperation between Serbia and China is enormous and that the Free Trade Agreement, which entered into force last year, will enable these potentials to be utilised to the maximum. China has made incredible technological progress in recent times and they are ready to cooperate on joint projects, which will benefit both sides," Ragus stressed.
