Fourth Sitting of the of the Security Services Control Committee

At the sitting held on 26 October, the Security Services Control Committee discussed and adopted the Committee’s Activity Plan for the period October – December 2012.


The Committee established a three-member working group, comprising Nenad Milic, Nenad Popovic and Igor Becic, to prepare the rulebook on direct supervision of the work of security services by this working body.
The Committee adopted the Decision on the Manner of Holding Sittings of the Security Services Control Committee in which classified data is reviewed.
At the sitting, the Committee considered and accepted the Security Services Control Committee Activity Plan in the sphere of security sector supervision, to be realised in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Serbia by the end of 2012.
The Committee decided that Committee Chairperson Jadranka Joksimovic and Committee member Meho Omerovic should take part in the international conference on “Connecting Supervision Authorities: assessment and strengthening of security services supervision in Western Balkan countries”. The conference, organised by the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF), will be held in Ljubljana on 5 and 6 November.
The Committee members were briefed on the information on how to deal with petitions and proposals within the working body’s scope.
The sitting was chaired by Jadranka Joksimovic, Committee Chairperson.
