The topic of the meeting was environmental protection and sustainable development. The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Milos Aligrudic took part in the meeting.
The participants agreed that it is essential to raise awareness on the importance of environmental protection at all educational levels and promote a regional approach to environmental protection, which would include an exchange of information, experience and best practice, and also intensify the dialogue at the regional level so as to ensure a more efficient response to common environmental challenges.
Speaking of the absence of representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the recent events in the country, the representatives of the foreign affairs committees of the parliaments of Montenegro, Serbia and Croatia said they were worried about the threat posed by the expressed social and political dissatisfaction.
