Fourteenth Sitting of the Committee on Defense and Security
At the sitting held on 30 October, the Committee on Defense and Security discussed the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Travel Documents, in principle.

The sitting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Interior who explained the reasons behind the proposition to extend the expiration date of the old passports for another year. They stated that 1,230,000 new passports have been issued by now and that the new expiration date was proposed so as to enable the issuance of passports to Serbian citizens living abroad. It was also proposed that the expiration date of children’s passports be extended, too.
The Committee members agreed to propose that the National Assembly adopt the Bill.
The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Dragan Todorovic.
