Fourteenth Sitting of the Agriculture Committee
At the sitting held on 30 June, the Agriculture Committee considered the Information of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management on areas sown with grains and industrial plants in the spring sowing and the Information of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management on the preparations for harvest and the prices of the 2009 yield of wheat and other grains.
At the sitting held on 30 June, the Agriculture Committee considered the Information of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management on areas sown with grains and industrial plants in the spring sowing and the Information of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management on the preparations for harvest and the prices of the 2009 yield of wheat and other grains.
The State Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Milan Petrovic briefed the Committee members on the Ministry’s information on these topics on 24 June of this year inclusive. Petrovic warned that this year’s expected average wheat yield, due to lack of humidity in the spring and decreased use of mineral fertilisers, was less than last year’s and amounted to about four tons.
