Fifteenth Sitting of the Committee on Defense and Security

At the sitting held on 13 January, the Committee on Defense and Security considered the Security Intelligence Agency’s Activity Report for the period March-October 2009 and the Report on the security situation in the Republic of Serbia.



At the sitting held on 13 January, the Committee on Defense and Security considered the Security Intelligence Agency’s Activity Report for the period March-October 2009 and the Report on the security situation in the Republic of Serbia.

In his opening address, BIA Director Sasa Vukadinovic focused on the most important segments of the Security Intelligence Agency’s work and the Agency’s priority tasks in the period covered by the report and answered the numerous questions posed by both the Committee members and the deputies attending the Committee sitting.

Following the discussion, the Committee accepted the Security Intelligence Agency’s Activity Report for the period March-October 2009 and the Report on the security situation in the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee unanimously concluded to request that the Security Intelligence Agency submit a report on its findings regarding the allegations made by Ratko Knezevic, post haste.

The Committee also decided to request information from the Republic Public Prosecutor on the actions undertaken in the case of Stanko Subotic and his illegal activities in Serbia, in connection with the allegations made by Ratko Knezevic, and that said information be submitted to the Committee as soon as possible.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Dragan Todorovic.
