Eightieth Sitting of the Justice and Administration Committee
At the sitting held on 21 June, the Justice and Administration Committee considered the Anti-Corruption Agency’s 2010 Activity Report, Equality Protection Commissioner’s Regular Annual Report and the 2010 Report on the implementation of the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance and Law on Personal Data Protection. The reports were presented by Zorana Markovic, Anti-Corruption Agency Director, Nevena Petrusic, Equality Protection Commissioner and Rodoljub Sabic, Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection.
In the debate, the cooperation between the National Assembly and independent regulatory bodies in the last year was deemed good and further improvement of the cooperation was declared a priority in the upcoming period. The Committee noted the reports accompanied by conclusions and recommendations and the National Assembly will vote on them at one of the upcoming sessions.
At the sitting, the Committee formulated the conclusion proposals on the review of the Ombudsman’s 2010 Regular Annual Report, High Judicial Council 2010 Activity Report, Public Prosecutor’s Offices Activity Report on suppressing criminality and protection of constitutionality and legitimacy in 2011. These reports were on the agenda for the Committee’s 77th sitting.
At the sitting, the Committee also formulated conclusions on the review of the Information on the work of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Serbia for the period from 1 January 2011 to 31 March 2011.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Bosko Ristic.
