Elaborating the request, National Assembly Secretary General Jana Ljubicic said that due to the situation in the country caused by flooding she had suggested that 100 million RSD worth of funds from the National Assembly’s budget earmarked for non-urgent façade works, be transferred to the Ministry of Finance and from there to the Serbian Government’s Relief Fund for those endangered by the floods. Committee Chairman Zoran Babic supported the Secretary General’s proposal and asked the Committee members to do so as well in view of the catastrophic consequences of the floods. The Committee members unanimously consented to the National Assembly Secretary General’s request for an economic classification appropriation decrease.
The Committee then proceeded to discuss and unanimously endorse the National Assembly Secretary General’s proposal to appoint Nebojsa Pesic Chief-of-Staff of the Cabinet of the National Assembly Speaker.
The Committee members also discussed and unanimously accepted the National Assembly Secretary General’s proposal to grant consent to call an internal competition for open posts. Secretary General Jana Ljubicic said that the request refers to two posts and persons already employed by the National Assembly.
