Deputy Ombudspersons Jelena Stojanovic, Natasa Tanjevic and Slobodan Tomic elected by the National Assembly took the oath of office before Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic at the National Assembly House today.
The Deputy Ombudspersons were elected at the National Assembly session on 13 December and took the oath of office in line with the Law on the Ombudsman.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Ombudsman Zoran Pasalic and National Assembly Deputy Secretary-General Branko Marinkovic.
The Deputy Ombudspersons pledged to do their duty responsibly, independently and without bias, in line with the law and Constitution, following their conscience, to protect and advance human rights and freedoms.
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia congratulated the Deputy Ombudspersons and wished them success.
The President of the Commission for State Aid Control Vladimir Antonijevic and members of the Council of the Commission for State Aid Control Ljiljana Blagojevic, Marko Vidakovic, Dusica Djordjevic and Dragan Djurdjevic, elected at the National Assembly session on 23 December, also took the oath of office at the National Assembly House.
In line with the Law on State Aid Control, the Commission President and Council members assumed their duties on the day on the oath-taking.
