The Committee on Urban Planning and Construction held its seventh session on 19 May. The session was chaired by the Committee’s chairman, Radojko Obradovic.

The Committee discussed the reply of the Ministry of Capital Investments to the Committee’s conclusions of 28 April 2004, in relation to the activities of the Kolubara District Construction and Development Directorate.

Professor Dr Rajko Korica, Deputy Minister of Capital Investments, and Zoran Jakovljevic, Director of the Directorate, took part in the session.

The Committee did not adopt the amended and corrected Report on the Activities of the Kolubara District Construction and Development Directorate, established to aid the earthquake-stricken area, for the period from 1 January 1999 to 31 March 2004. Most objections were raised because of the lack of a unified criterion for allocating funding and establishing priorities.

The Ministry of Capital Investments was requested to provide the Committee with regular reports on the results of measures taken to solve problems in the Directorate’s activities.
