79th session of the Legislative Committee

At its session held on 22 June 2005, the Legislative Committee discussed and in principle endorsed the Bill Amending and Modifying the Judges Act, the Bill Amending and Modifying the Public Prosecutor Act, the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the High Judicial Council and the Bill Amending and Modifying the Court Fees Act.


At its session held on 22 June 2005, the Legislative Committee discussed and in principle endorsed the Bill Amending and Modifying the Judges Act, the Bill Amending and Modifying the Public Prosecutor Act, the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the High Judicial Council and the Bill Amending and Modifying the Court Fees Act.

Committee members also adopted, in principle, the Bill Amending the Act on the Organisation and Powers of Public Authorities in Suppressing Organised Crime and the Bill Amending the Act on the Organisation and Powers of Public Authorities in War Crimes Proceedings.

The session also discussed the Bill on the Organisation and Powers of Public Authorities in Suppressing High Technology Crime, the University Bill, the Deposit Insurance Bill, the Bill on the Deposit Insurance Agency, and the Bill Amending and Modifying the Insurance Act. All Bills discussed at the session were submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

At today’s session, the Legislative Committee ruled that amendments submitted to the Bill Amending and Modifying the Judges Act, the Bill Amending and Modifying the Public Prosecutor Act, the Bill Amending and Modifying the Act on the High Judicial Council and the Bill Amending the Court Fees Act were legally possible.

Amendments submitted to the Bill Amending the Act on the Organisation and Powers of Public Authorities in Suppressing Organised Crime and the Bill Amending the Act on the Organisation and Powers of Public Authorities in War Crimes Proceedings, as well as those submitted to the Bill on the Organisation and Powers of Public Authorities in Suppressing High Technology Crime, were also assessed as legally possible.

The session of the Legislative Committee was chaired by its chairman, Milos Aligrudic.
