57th Sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee
At the sitting held on 28 November, the members of the Foreign Affairs Committee reviewed the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of India on Cooperation in the Fields of Culture, Art, Youth, Sports and the Media.
The Bill was presented by Jasmina Sinadinovic of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who said that it regulates the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in said areas and covers student and expert exchange, cooperation between institutions, visits and similar. To make sure the Agreement is realized in full, the signatories will prompt the signing of agreements on the programmes conducted and a working group, to meet alternately in both countries, will be set up to monitor and evaluate the realization of the Agreement, said Sinadinovic.
Following a short discussion the Committee members accepted the Bill and forwarded it to the National Assembly with the proposal it be adopted.
The Committee went on to accept one initiative for a visit, adopted reports on visits realized and noted the parliamentary and other realized contacts.
The Committee members also noted the changes in the composition of the PFG with Iran.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Ljiljana Malusic, Prof. Dr Ljubisa Stojmirovic, Dusica Stojkovic, Dragan Sormaz, Milisav Petronijevic, Jovan Palalic, Jelena Vujic Obradovic, Dr Sanda Raskovic Ivic, Vera Jovanovic and Dubravka Filipovski.
