Presenting the Resolution Proposal on behalf of the submitters, Nada Lazic reminded the Committee members that the 2006 Constitution stipulated that a law on the financing of AP Vojvodina be passed by December 2008, which has still, 10 years later, not been passed. That is why the Proposal of the Resolution of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on Vojvodina and Bill on the Financing of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina were submitted, to define the framework of activity toward AP Vojvodina. Lazic added that when the 2018 budget was being passed the Minister of Finance said he was ready to discuss proposals of this kind and the submitters believe that enough time has passed and it is now the right moment to address the issue.

Committee Chairman Petar Petrovic reminded the attending that nine amendments had been submitted to the Proposal of the Resolution of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on Vojvodina, submitted by MPs Nenad Canak, Olena Papuga and Nada Lazic, two of which were accepted by the submitters – to Article 8 and Article 9 of the Resolution Proposal, submitted by MP Gordana Comic. He also reminded the attending that the Government had not accepted the Resolution Proposal, in principle.

Following a debate the Committee decided to propose that the National Assembly not accept the Proposal of the Resolution of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on Vojvodina, in principle, nor the amendments submitted to it.
